Abstract :

Avifauna are the most popular and amazing creature of our Planet that attract the mankind for their beauty, melodious songs and beautiful plumage. Birds are important component of an ecosystem and biological system that control insects’ population, help in pollination and dispersal of seeds, a rich source of protein and also act as environmental indicator that to alarm the environmental changes. The present study was conducted from 5 January to 25 May 2025 to investigate the diversity of Avifauna of district Swabi Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan. In this study, four villages of district Swabi i.e., Adina, Yar Hussain, Kalu Khan and Ismailia were visited on daily bases and a total of 47 bird species were reported belonging to 11 orders and 32 families. During this survey, the highest order Passeriformes were recorded that a total of 26 species belonging only to this order. This study provide basic guideline for ornithologist to study the Avifauna of this region
